One of the largest aspects of Web 2.0 has been networking - interconnecting different sources of data, visitors, fans - everything surrounding an information source in a way that allows you to gain access to the level of it that interests you. I recently read that Web 3.0 will further take this on beyond the concepts of sharing your content on Digg, Twitter or Facebook. Multiple databases will somehow be able to be "connected" in a way that will allow us to get a level of refinement to our search results that we haven't seen before. I hope to write more about this topic on my main blog (http://www.blarnee.com)
As part of Web 2.0, I am working on updating all of the sites that currently feature content by me to be interlinked. This includes this blog (where I used to host details about my Software Engineering work prior to switching focus to more Web Development) and hopefully sometime in the future my research blog on Image Processing too.
If you've landed on this page looking for some more information on my 'XWebs' Web Browser - I recently published a summary of what happened to it on the main development blog. This can be read here. I'm always interested in discussing anything to do with Web rendering or Web development so if you'd like to drop me a line, feel free to get in touch with me through Twitter.
I'll see you all again soon.
Same bat time.
Same bat channel
